Sequoia Park Zoo, Part 3

The big attraction at the zoo is the Redwood Sky Walk.

It is a climbing structure that takes people 1/4 mile through redwoods. (It is easy climbing, and it is ADA accessible, but strollers are not allowed.)

There are a number of signs throughout the trail with information about the trees, the history, what they are used for, and other things.

If you have a problem with heights, this does reach one hundred feet over the canyon.

This is a very sturdy walkway.

Can I live here?

While on the sky walk, we spotted a bear playing in the trees!

It was really exciting to see this.

They have two bears living at the zoo.

Do you think they want a new friend to play with?

Those are some very tall trees.

Tree hugger.

It's a long way down.

Along the trail, they have markers showing how high the point is above ground. And the trees are still taller!

They have these swinging rope bridges in parts of the trail. They bounce a lot!!

I made it there and back again.

Is that the elusive Bigfoot??? Why is he dressed like a human?

The bear is back in the tree! I might climb up there, too.

How cute is that?!?

The Sky Walk is part of the zoo and there is no extra admission fee.
