More from the Beach

Sir Wellington came along with us. He likes chasing the birds, but then runs away if they get close. He did have fun digging in the sand.

So, for my plan... I thought it would be best to pull the same prank on Mr Duffy. I waited until he dozed off for a nap, then got to work. He was pulling sand out of his fur for hours!

When I am at the coast, I eat seafood. I enjoyed this crab sushi and it was delicious.

That is the 'natural bridge' at the beach.

It was too cold to play in the water, but I did get up to just get a small splash on my paws.

Mr Duffy likes sharks. We should plan another aquarium trip.

The water is coming in.

It's getting closer!

Oh! So cold!

After getting just a bit wet, we dried off and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon.

We had a really fun day. So much fun, and we can't wait to get back to the beach.

We still have so many fun beach things to do, like play more ball and build bigger castles. And get in the water!

Beach Day!

 More about this later...

I had been wanting a beach day and needed to wait for the weather to get warmer.

Mr Duffy and I packed the car with foods and drinks, beach toys, swim stuff, and beach chairs and headed for Santa Cruz.

We went to Natural Bridges State Beach. On the drive there, it was lightly sprinkling and I was a bit worried that we might get rained out. It stayed gray and was mildly cool, but it did not rain.

We had fun playing with our sand toys, making a small castle and ocean shapes out of toy molds.

We also did some kicking back.

Mr Duffy looks so natural at the beach, just hanging out in his camping chair. He looks snazzy with his shark hat.

Well, at some point I dozed off and woke up to find myself buried in the sand. I didn't know what happened, but I did have a good idea.

It was Mr Duffy. He thought it would be so funny to put me under all that sand. Funny guy. Well, while I was buried I did have time to think of a way to retaliate.

But for now we just talked and played.

Wine Time!

National Wine Day is celebrated on May 25th. It's the day to pick your favorite wine.

Grab a glass and a chunk of cheese.

Today I chose a California Cabernet Sauvignon. I paired it with an extra sharp white cheddar. Good stuff!

My favorite wine is actually sparkling wine. But when it comes to red, I like a Cab Sauv or a Merlot.

Have a glass and drink responsibly!

Quinceanera

I had a Quinceanera for my 15th birthday.

Mr Duffy was my date. We had burritos and tacos for our dinner.

Mr Duffy dressed in a dapper suit and I wore a pretty blue dress.

I do enjoy nice parties, good food, and fancy dress.

My 15th Birthday

 It is my 15th birthday!

Today was full of many treats. I started at a bakery where I picked out delicious cookies.

That is the truth!

I picked out a cinnamon cookie, a chocolate chip, a Mexican wedding cake, and an iced ladybug shortbread cookie.

My next stop was to visit the local rose garden. It seemed like every rose was in full bloom. I saw so many beautiful roses.

Fountains are so much fun. I always have to resist the temptation to jump in to swim.

Lots of pretty petals.

I love yellow roses.

I blend in to this pretty pink.

I just wish there were blue roses. It seems like they come in every other color.

After the rose garden, I went to Santana Row which is an outdoor shopping center. They have a lot of water features throughout the property.

I liked this one because of the seashells.

I tried Blue Bottle coffee for the first time. I got the ice cream coffee float. It was average taste, and very expensive. But since it was my birthday, it was a good treat.

I will try to make this myself at home.

Last stop was at Sugarfina, a fancy candy store. I picked out a few different boxes of gummies and mini donuts. What a sweet birthday. The whole day was so nice, great weather, the best company, good eats. I am already looking forward to my Sweet Sixteen!
