We got up for the next part of our tour. After our road trip coffee stop we got onto Highway 299.
There is so much beauty.
This was my first time on this particular highway. As someone who wants to be a California expert, that has to include exploring every nook and cranny of the state.
Trees, valleys, skies, love. So much goodness.

It is so nice to not be the driver. I can get lots of good pics that way!
We made some stops, and Mr Duffy and Sassy were really curious about where we were headed. It was a big surprise - not for Mr Duffy (his surprise would come later), but for Sassy.
I thought for sure my shirt would give it away!
