Wine and Cheese

Today is Wine and Cheese Day. It’s a real holiday. I didn’t make it up just so I could have wine and cheese. 

I bought a variety of wines, but I really only wanted sparkling wine. And I picked up several cheeses. 

I have my own wine, but this one isn’t so tasty. 

Cheese! I also had mixed nuts and tasty fruit spreads. 

I picked up a bottle of blueberry wine. It sounds better than it tastes. This one was fizzy but not sparkling. And too sugary, even for me. 

My table was beautifully decorated with flowers and candles for a romantic tablescape. I felt so fancy.

Sour Candy Day

 

Today is the day we celebrate sour candy. I like some of them, like Sour Patch Kids. 

Sour chewy Sweet Tarts are good. And I like the chewiness of Skittles. 

There are so many types of sour candies available.

Hot Dog!

Hot dog! It’s National Hot Dog Day!

A good side dish for hot dogs is potato salad, and I had that. 

I had a good plate full of tasty foods. 

Hot dogs on buns and corn on the cob symbolize summer. 

Green beans make a good vegetable accompaniment to the picnic food. 

And what is this great hot dog food without baked beans?

I do love all of these food holidays, and I’m glad there are so many of them. What food would you like to celebrate?

 

National Lollipop Day

It’s a day to celebrate one of my favorite candies. 

Lollipops!

I have a supply of lollipops at home, but I also like to add to it when I can. 

I have Tootsie Roll Pops and Dum Dums. 

I went to a candy store called Lolli and Pops. 

I also stopped by Sees Candies, and they were giving free pops out for the day. 

I covered myself in lollipops and I don’t even know why.

I picked two specialty pops.

Ice Cream

Today I participated in National Ice Cream Day. I ate coffee as it is my favorite flavor. 

I had sprinkles and Magic Shell chocolate sauce. 

I thought of Mr Duffy and gave him some Cherry Garcia.

Mr Duffy and I had a relaxing swim in the pool. Soaking up the sun and water!
