Merry Christmas, Mr Duffy!

Mr Duffy was very interested in the gift box that was as big as he is.

 "What could be in there?"

As Mr Duffy tends to do, he climbed up on the box to rip the paper. I think he just likes to pretend to be Spider-Man.

Well... it is his very own Pac-Man arcade game! Once get that open, it will be a challenge to pull him away.

I am very glad you love your gift, Duffy!

Christmas and a Year's Supply of Beans

What do beans have to do with Christmas, you ask? I received a very large supply of beans for Christmas. This is a great gift for me, as I do love me some legumes.

My holiday friends were with me to celebrate Christmas.

Along with the dry beans, I also received some cookbooks, all about how to use my new loot.

Where did I go?

This is so much fun.

I got a new jacket and beanie hat to keep cozy. Sometimes, even my fur is not enough to keep me warm.

This wrapping paper made me very happy.

This wrapping paper looks very familiar...

I do like very casual outfits for when I am hibernating at home.

Sloth pajamas and a unicorn room. If this winter is cold and rainy, I will be set with new things to wear.

Toblerone! One of my (many) favorite chocolate candies.

I can dress like Ms Marvel now!

And now, the candy.

Whew. I need a break!

A chocolate Santa and a marshmallow tree. Delicious!

I am going to be all set with chocolates for January!

Wow, I did get quite the loot this year.

After yesterday's Italian feast, I wasn't going to cook. Instead, it was all about appetizers and leftovers.

Charcuterie

A big wedge of brie makes every table more inviting.

I'm glad I got to celebrate with my fuzzy friends and family. Wampa wishes you a Merry Christmas!

Buon Natale

Here we are again on my favorite day of the year.

A big plate of cookies from the local bakery is a great centerpiece for our Christmas Eve table.

And of course we have to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, at least a few times every year.

I cook Italian food every year, either on December 24th or 25th. This year, I wanted to make the Feast of the Seven Fishes. I watch a lot of food videos on the YouseTubes, and I am always tempted by the Italian fare. You might think it would be a challenge to cook seven different fish or shellfish, but if you make crab cioppino, you can get there in just that one dish.

I did make lasagna, pasta marinara, and grilled salmon with vegetables.

One thing I do enjoy having around during the holidays is a variety of nuts. This must be why nutcrackers are so prolific this time of year.

And now... decorated cookies!

And I also always like having holiday candies, too.

I sure hope we can leave some cookies for Santa!
