Day Out With Thomas

Today I went to Roaring Camp in Felton. Thomas the Train made a special appearance and I wanted to see him. There were a lot of fun activities including coloring and painting Thomas pictures, playing with train sets, bounce jumpers, face painting, Thomas video viewing... it was a fun experience.

Post-Disney Blues

In missing the Disneyland Resort I thought maybe another theme park would help me transition back into reality. Not so. I went to Great America and had an okay time. It is no Disneyland, that's for sure.

The last day

My last day of vacation. I am already feeling sad and dreading the long drive home. At least when I get home I can start planning for my next trip back. I enjoyed a Malibu Mocha - I hope I don't miss them too much.

Remember... Dreams Come True

On the last night in Disneyland I decided to watch the fireworks from Main Street. I was lucky enough to get a seat on a bench at the train station. I didn't get all the effects of the Castle and being in the hub, but at least the music was loud.
While I waited for the show I munched on some popcorn... a favorite of Disneyland guests.

A cold soda helped to wash away the salty taste from the popcorn.

More Disney Fun

Here I am back in ToonTown. It is such a fun place to play.

The jail which isn't very effective: the bars are made of rubber and can stretch.

Another fun toon gag.

Relaxing by the water fountain just outside of Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.

Knott's Berry Farm

What can I say about Knott's? Well, the most exciting part was the Teddy Bear shop. This is a statue in front.

I left early and went back to Disneyland.

Happy Birthday Disneyland

Today is Disneyland's 52nd birthday. There were festivities in the Park to celebrate. After I spent the morning in Disneyland I went across the way to California Adventure.

The Golden State Bridge

My favorite thing about King Triton's Carousel is the music. The soundtrack is all Beach Boys songs done in an instrumental beach sound.

A World of Fantasy

The weather this week has been perfect. Low 80's during the day and high 60's at night, very comfortable for all this fur. The cooler temperatures made it comfortable for me to wear this dress. I'm just trying to dress the part!

Critter Country

Today I got to visit Critter Country where there were many bears and other friendly forest creatures.

Inside the Pooh store was a hidden Hunny pot. While taking a taste I "accidentally" fell in. Yummy!

Outside of the store I found a great treasure: mounds of hunny! Oh my goodness, I had to roll out of there.

Winnie the Pooh has hunny stashed all over Critter Country. And believe me, I found all of it!

As if eating all the hunny wasn't enough, I went to the Tiki Bar outside of the Enchanted Tiki Room and had a Dole Pineapple Float. It is made of whipped pineapple and pineapple juice with a cherry and a paper umbrella. Oh, it is so good!

After all that hunny I needed a good night's sleep. After all I would be spending the next day doing it all over again!

I'm Going to Disneyland!

I had to wait for my family to get everything they needed to enter the Park. I sat outside the entrance and had some Mickey cookies. They are yummy!

I went on it's a small world. Outside is a topiary in the shape of a bear. It might be a grizzly! I was excited to see it. Inside the ride there were more bears.

ToonTown is another fun place to be. Goofy's house is a lot of fun. There is a playground just outside that looks like his garden has grown out of control. His garden hose is leaking and kids like to play in the water.

This giant chair sure makes me feel small. It's not very comfortable, either, but I guess it's fine for a Toon.

Here is an interactive piano in Goofy's house.

This is one of Goofy's overgrown vegetables. The pumpkin is already carved into a jack-o'lantern.

A small slide sits in his yard.

After some time in Disneyland I went over to California Adventure. I was interested in seeing the Redwood Creek area. I was attracted to the giant bear carved into the mountain at Grizzly River Run. I spent a lot of time exploring the Redwood Creek area and played in the Challenge Trail.

Here is a small grizzly cut out of stone

Hm... what does this say?

That's a pretty waterfall.

Day 1 - Time to relax

I'm checked into the hotel and am taking this first day to relax. The drive went very fast. I only stopped twice for Starbucks. It took six hours to get here which doesn't seem like enough time. Maybe when I was a cub it felt like it took so much longer.
I am chillin' by the pool, taking the day to recover from the long drive and unpacking the car, setting up my room and trying to get to sleep from being wound-up.

Tomorrow I go to Disneyland. I am really looking forward to seeing Captain Jack! Time to get out of the pool and into the room to get ready for my big day.

I'm going out west where I belong...

Technically I am already west. Maybe a better song title would be "Going to Surf City." (And yes, Huntington Beach is Surf City, not Santa Cruz as they are so desperately trying to claim, but I digress...)
Today is the start of my vacation. I will be driving to Southern California for my ten day long vacation there. The Disneyland Resort will be the main attraction, though I may check out another place or two. I'm geared up for the long drive.

I'm a rarin' to go. I just wish the Country Bear Jamboree were still there. I miss my bear friends.

The Order of the Phoenix

I went to the midnight premier of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." It was a great movie, though Professor Umbridge was a bee-itch! I showed up at the theater around 6:00 and I camped out with a movie buddy. We had coloring books, crossword puzzles, handheld games and other things to help pass the time. We ate at World Wrapps and had some Starbucks. Around 10:00 pm we were let into the theater and had more time to pass. I am looking forward to the last two movies.

Independence Day

Today I went to an acquaintance's house for a vegan celebration. We had fruit salad, cupcakes, soyrizo, red rice... everything was delicious. We lit just a few small fireworks and we played Balderdash. It was great fun!
