We grabbed some coffee and delicious breakfast burritos at A Frame Expresso on Main Street. I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and an iced mocha.
The iced mocha was also fabulous. So I will forgive them for using an "x" in their name.
This was a new souvenir that I got from one of my humans which he picked up from the Sea Glass Museum.
It isn't a large museum, and while there is not an admission fee, there is a suggested donation. And there is a large gift shop that supports the museum.
Pieces like these used to be tossed into what Fort Bragg considered a dumping site. After years, they stopped allowing that, and a lot of the trash washed away or was removed. And the glass that stayed behind was broken down and smoothed out over years of natural sanding. This is why you can find - or used to find - pieces other than the common clear and green pieces.
Right near the museum is an historic house. Unfortunately, because of circumstances, the museum was closed. But there were a few things to see outside.
This is a slice of redwood tree with pins on it saying some historical events that happened while it was still standing.
Because this town was named after a confederate soldier, many of the people want to change its name. I don't know if they will keep this sign. It's a historical town even without the name.
I wonder what it is like in there.
I wanted to get a couple of snaps of my hotel before leaving. As it was the Emerald Dolphin, they did have some dolphin statues in front with a fountain.
There were pretty flowers there, too. Maybe this is where the noisy frogs lived? Their croaks put us to sleep every night.
And it was time to get on the road. I was ready to see more trees and vineyards, but not so ready to end such a romantic and fun adventure.
