Jamestown Railtown

My California pass got us into another State Historic Park. This time to Railtown 1897 in Jamestown.

During peak seasons, the trains run for guests to ride.

There are trains all over the property that have different purposes.

We went into the workshop where the working trains are stored.

I got to sit inside of one.

They are preparing this one to run, it is going to be used in an upcoming movie.

This is the train that was used in many movies, including Back to the Future III.

Lots of train parts.

This caboose has also been featured in movies.

This sign says how it was used in the film.

It was fun to visit all of these movie props.

In person, this really looked like a backdrop. But in the picture, it does look real. Wow!

Petticoat Junction!

Can I make it go?

Can Thor lift this one, too?

After exploring the grounds, I bought a sarsaparilla from the gift shop. They sure are proud of that beverage up in this area.
