Christmas in the Park, Part One

Christmas in the Park is a big part of my holiday celebrations. It is in downtown San Jose, Cesar Chavez Park.

They fill the park with decorations, food and craft booths, fun vignettes, and Christmas trees sponsored by local organizations and families. Santa Claus is also there through Christmas Eve.

It's fun to see the park in the day and night, and it especially magical in the rain.

The purple tree really drew my attention.

There was a LEGO display with a few different themes.

Belle reading at the fountain!

San Jose is big on LBGTQ+ Pride.

Santa's sleigh?

Trying to resist screaming "SANTA!!!" like Buddy the Elf.

Oh, it's Snoopy!

Jewish representation.

Of course Barbie was a big theme this year.

They have a tree made of, basically, garbage. And they make it work!

San Jose is also big on clean energy.

They have a huge walk-through tree.
