Saltwater Taffy is Life

And now, for the highlight of our day: a visit to Carousel Taffy.

They have at least seventy different flavors here. So many different fruit and dessert flavors, and even ones like chicken and waffles, and maple bacon. We did pick up a couple of those to taste. They have a flavor guide on their website.

It was so much fun looking at all of the flavors. It was a bit overwhelming because of how much is in there. It's bins, barrels, and buckets full of taffy. I don't like to make people wait too long, so I don't take my time to really absorb everything. If I had visited on my own, I probably would have really looked at every single flavor and thought about what I wanted. But I understand that some people can get fidgety if I take too long. So if you go, be prepared to spend a lot of time looking at the flavors.

And there is the carousel!

In my ideal home, I would have a candy room and it would be set up like this.

The bins just go on forever.

At the front of the store, they did have a couple of other candies like lollipops and cotton candy. But 99% of their store is taffy.

After we paid for our four pounds of taffy, we decided to make our way back to the car. We stopped at interesting looking places on the way.

Chickens!

I thought this was another interesting garden. I do enjoy succulents as much as I like petal flowers.

I found a seal that stayed still long enough for me to get a picture.

And we saw otters again.

This was a fabulous day. Delicious food, amazing candy, great weather, nice sites, and the best company in the world.

We headed back to the hotel to rest after all of the walking.
