It's Mardi Gras Time!

 

I made a giant batch of jambalaya. It is one of my favorite dishes to make.

I topped it with lots of delicious shrimp.

You might not be able to tell that I am wearing purple leggings. I wanted to dress in all of the traditional colors.

Wearing all of these beaded necklaces is fun.

I baked a king cake, I just wish the purple icing was a bit brighter.

I would like to visit New Orleans one day, but not during Mardi Gras. It gets crowded and chaotic. But the rest of the year looks like it would be a good time to visit.
