The First of Many Wine Holidays

 

What food pairs great with wine? Cheese, of course! It is National Drink Wine Day.

I opened a bottle of Cabernet for drinking, and a white for making a cheese fondue.

I do enjoy sipping reds, with Merlot as one of my favorites.

Tasting in a winery is nice, but sipping it at home is extra special.

I had a variety of things to dip in my fondue such as blanched broccoli, chunks of sourdough bread, red potatoes, and cubes of beef.

All of this cheese was so tempting to eat before throwing it in the fondue pot.

When you drink wine, be sure to also have a satisfied tummy of fat and protein, and some complex carbs as well. And drink plenty of water. And be responsible and safe.
