Goodbye, 2020!

What a year, am I right?

This was the most difficult year for our modern world for many people. There has been a lot of loss and grief. But there has also been a lot of hope and inspiration, as well.

Through all of the adversity, if you were able to make it through the year with your friends and family, that is the type of wealth that money can't buy.

I am lucky that Mr Duffy and I have had each other this year. He is my teddy bear and I love him very much. When you are lucky enough to find that one person special enough to make you want to live forever, you keep that person close to your heart.

Another great thing about this year is that I had a baby! Well, not in the way you think. 😂 Baby Yoda/Grogu/The Child came into our lives and we have had so much fun. He has spent the seven months here using the Force to steal our sweets.

This has been a year of good food. I am aware every time I take a bite of food that there are many mama bears unable to feed their cubs. And I feel lucky that I have been able to share my wealth.

Being inside all year and tasting a variety of wines, I have experimented with charcuterie trays. They are basically a cheese tray with things like meats, fruit, crackers, anything that would complement the drink.

Fact: more champagne is consumed on December 31st than any other day of the year. It also happens to be National Champagne Day.

He may be a baby, but he is 50. Now I don't know how that translates to human years, and I don't know what that means for his species. But 50 is older than 21, which is the legal drinking age.

We love our champagne...

... perhaps a bit too much!

Hiccup!

Countdown to a new year, and let's hope it is better than this one. I hope to see more joy in the first week than all of the year of 2020.

Should old acquaintance be forgot? YES.

Here's to a fabulous 2021!!!
