Weekend in the Eastern Sierra Wrap-Up

I always seek out the Starbucks locations wherever I go. There were two that I found in Mammoth Lakes, one in a shopping center and one right in the resort.

This is the shopping center that has their main grocery store, a chocolate shop, a movie theater, and a used book store among others.

There was this cute little place that was in the center of the shops where people could drink their coffees. It was decorated with an alpine theme. But of course. We were in the mountains!

Another fish statue

This was a worker bear at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I bought some fudge, a giant peanut butter cup, a dark chocolate turtle, and a caramel apple. Yummy!

This cute little bakery had a restaurant but it was closed midday. But their bake shop was open and I bought some very good cheese bread and fresh orange juice.

The next day, I drove over the Sonora Pass just to find a "free" route between the western and eastern regions of California. This route passes through Bridgeporte. When I go back to the Eastern Sierras, I may use this route if I am not going to Yosemite.

On the way back I stopped at a roadside restaurant in Strawberry, California. Fun name.

This was the view from my table. Pretty!
Overall I had a wonderful time in Mammoth Lakes, Mono Lake, Bodie, and all the other towns I passed through. I do want to do this vacation again someday. And I would love for it to be when it is snowing.
