Historical Park

While in Fremont I had a fortuitious circumstance. While purusing a shopping area I happened upon W Burdett Williams Historical Park. I don't know who that was but I will be looking it up.

This is a cute little house inside the park.

There are pretty flower beds in the park. It's not a big park, it is in a square nestled between two chain restaurants and in a big shopping center with a Target and Borders. It's a good spot for a break, maybe to sip a drink while reading a book or to have a chat before or after a meal.

The Mission Continues

Today I visited Mission San Jose in Fremont. This is the third mission I have visited and now have 18 left to go.

The church on Mission Blvd.

Photography is not allowed anywhere inside the museum or church. I didn't mind so much as shots of the exterior and one of this California Historical Landmark sign are enough to document my trip.

National Candy Month

June is National Candy Month. What a sweet way to start the summer. I love candy and not so much eating it. It's just so pretty! I love seeing jars of candies like jelly beans and M&Ms, bowls of tiny candy bars, gingerbread houses, heart shaped boxes of chocolates... I also love the way candy smells. I don't like cotton candy but the smell is so pleasurable. Don't get me wrong, while I prefer looking at candy moreso than eating it, I do have my fair share of favorites.

Is it hard to tell which candy I like best? I love Toostie Roll Pops, Mambas, Bit-O-Honey, caramels, red hots, fruit flavord Tootsie Rolls, and a myriad chocolates with Toblerone as my favorite.

Find yourself in a candy store and stock up for a sweet month of candy eating!
