Walt Disney Family Museum

I like to support museums and the arts and educational programs. One way I do that is by buying memberships to museums. Many of them are part of a reciprocal program and I can use my membership to get free or greatly reduced passes into other museums. Since I am a huge Disney fan, and I live in the Bay Area, it is automatic for me to become a member of the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco.

The museum is in the Presidio which is a very beautiful part of San Francisco. It's close to the Golden Gate Bridge and there are a lot of great photo spots.

There was a Mary Blair exhibit, showing not only her art work for Disney, but some of her other published works.

Mary Blair designed this mural for the it's a small world attraction at Disneyland.

This is a replica of Walt's apartment at Disneyland.

Walt really wanted to support the military during the war but he was too young to fight. He drove the ambulance to assist wounded soldiers.

There is a long hallway connecting two areas of the museum, and one side is all windows where you can see the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is an Autopia car on display.

The Disneyland model is a sight to behold.

In the Disneyland exhibit is a wall of televisions showing some of the Disney programs from the 1950's.

Disneyland Day 8

By my eighth day, I take fewer photos, so you'll see how the number of photos dwindles with each post. So even though I've done more than a couple of things, I only have a few pictures to show.

It's a bear! A topiary bear!

I was exhausted, and why wouldn't I be? I still have three more days of this. I love it, of course, and there isn't any other place I want to be. But this is the last picture from this trip. I had a great time and am always looking forward to going back. Disneyland is my very favorite place. I will be back in November for the Marvel Avengers marathon. See you real soon!

Disneyland Day 7

Today I wore my Sully costume. It was a warm day so I was feeling a bit warm. Luckily they have Frappuccinos in the Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Cafe, which is where they serve Starbucks in California Adventure.

King Triton's Carrousel

Mine! Mine!

Oh, it's Sully! My twin! At least for today.

Mike Wazowski!

This Mediterranean dish is sold at the eatery in the Boardwalk area. This one has tofu, veggies, and rice. It is delicious! It's a walk-up window.

Beast's Library

This is inside the Animation building. At this time they were showing art from Monsters, Inc.

Enjoying another water feature

When I got back to my hotel, I thought I would just sleep in this outfit. It's as cozy as pajamas.

Before I went to sleep, I ate this very cute Olaf cake pop. Do you want to eat a snowman?
