June 6th is National Donut Day. Of course I had to cele-bear-ate by indulging in a donut (or two or three.)
I don't have a favorite donut. I love the cake ones, old fashioned, glazed, jelly, powdered, chocolate, bars, holes, sprinkles, sugared... almost any will do. Any, that is, except for maple.
Summer is here and that means endless trips to theme parks. Today I visited California's Great America in Santa Clara.
There is a Nickelodeon section for youngsters to enjoy. Nick Jr characters walk around to green fans and there are attractions with other show themes.
Where's Califia among these Hannah Barberra characters?
The Nicktoons Cafe has the usual amusement park fare: burgers, pizza, fries, and way overpriced desserts. But they also play cartoons, have giant character murals, and bear-sized tables and chairs.
This place is "great" because it welcomes all people to enjoy their rides and attractions. It's a place li-bear-als can enjoy.
I had some free time today so I took a train ride to Redwood City. There isn't anything spectacular there, but Sequoia Station is a shopping area adjacent to the train station. I first ate a bagel sandwich at Noah's. I ate a veggie sandwich, yummy!
I then went to Starbucks where I sipped a Caramel Frappuccino. I can't get enough sticky stuff!
On the way home I looked at the train schedule, planning my next adventure.
