Ice Cream Time

After the wonderful evening out watching Little Shop of Horrors, I wanted to keep the fun going. So, ice cream!

I went to Icicles, the local slab creamery. My flavor of choice was coffee ice cream with brownie bits and chocolate sauce.

I was thinking, to me this isn’t as much ice cream as it is frozen coffee. I love it!

Little Shop of Horrors

I’ve been to many live shows, and have eaten many dinners. But tonight was the first time I did them both at the same time.

I saw the Milpitas Community Theater performance of Little Shop of Horrors.

Th food service was wonderfully coordinated. Salad was at our table when we arrived. During the first intermission, they gave us dinner.

These carnivorous plants were fun centerpieces.

I chose the vegetarian option which was eggplant Parmesan with penne pesto. It was tasty!

Dessert was bloody red velvet cupcake with bone shaped candy.

Photography was not allowed during the performance. Fortunately, I did get to meet some of the actors after the show.

I got to meet Elysia Tingley who was the voice of Audrey 2. And I got to meet the younger Audrey 2 plant!

And this is Ari Llamas who was the puppeteer of Audrey 2.

The show was great! Very talented actors, dancers, singers, and crew. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait to see more performances from them!

Birthday! I’m 17!

I had a quiet celebration for my birthday. The spring air was comfortable, warm with a nice breeze.

I visited a local park to be in the green and listen to the water falling in the pond.

The park was mostly empty of others, and for any visitors stopping by, they were quiet.

Geese!

After a nice visit at the park, I enjoyed some cupcakes at home. It wasn’t long before someone tried to swipe one.

“Who, me???”

The cupcakes weren’t enough and peanut butter cups were added. Not too much, right?

Star Wars Day!

It’s May the Fourth and you know what that means!

Wookiee cookies and swamp snacks!

Mr Duffy and I made some recipes from the Star Wars Ultimate Cookbook.

These cactus bites were scrumptious. If anyone says they don’t like Brussels sprouts, have them try this recipe.

We’re a fan of noodles, and this was a fabulous dish.

I want to eat the picture!

We didn’t watch any of the movies this year, but we did watch many videos. In addition to Weird Al’s The Saga Begins, and the Bad Lip Reading, we watched the Parks and Recreation clip of the filibuster, in which Patton Oswalt plays a townsperson who shared his idea on the future Star Wars movies.

It was a feast, as we also ate this amazing salad. The dressing is great!

And of course the baby wanted to party with us.

May the fourth be with you!
