Santa Clara: Mission City

Santa Clara is very proud of its history. It was one of the stops of Junipero Serra's 21 missions. Many buildings in the city are styled in the design and architect of the 1770's when the Spaniards took over the area.

Just for kicks I went to City Hall to explore. It is a very small and quiet area.

There is a very nice fountain that I really wanted to go in. In summer months I bet it would be fun to have bear feet and walk around in there, or just splash a bit. But as it is a city building, it is probably frowned upon.

"Flags Over Santa Clara." It's a picture of one of my ancestors on the Bear Flag.

Santa Clara's flag. I didn't even know they had their own flag!
