No Hi-BEAR-nating for me.

Many bears hibernate all winter long. Living in California, with all her breathtaking scenery and natural resources, I would rather get in on the action and have fun.

Ice skating is one of my favorite activities. Here I am skating at the Winter Lodge in Palo Alto. It is an outdoor rink, open from October through April. Some years the employees have trouble laying the ice in September because of the heat. This is probably one of the few places people can skate in sunglasses and shorts!

This was a cold and rainy night. I'm glad I had my earmuffs to help keep me warm.
